since 1995 located in the heart of Soho, was originally a storage shack since 1847. it was converted into a soup take-out kiosk, serving a daily variety of seven homemade soups and stews. corner of Prince St. and Mercer St.
oh shit! the soup kiosk. i used to live on mercer about 6 doors down from the kiosk. amazing soup. warmed many a cold afternoon in my -giant- basement apartment below (and entered through) a cigar rolling factory, which i was once compelled to defend with a Louisville slugger, but which we were eventually thrown out of anyway... long story. major thumbs up the the soup though.
